Zorn, formed in 2009, is a New Zealand one-man band based around frontman and songwriter Axel Zorn. With influences from Marillion, Porcupine Tree, The Police, Depeche Mode and Starsailor, it developed its own style combining catchy tunes, elaborate song structures and powerful lyrics into rock/pop and progressive rock songs. Zorn is joined by session musicians from across the world and, when performing solo, Axel Zorn switches to electronic music where his style can still be noticed. Supported by a great following based mainly in the US and Europe, Zorn is growing its audience in the southern hemisphere.
